In the light of the recent upsurge of COVID-19 cases in both the Netherlands and the rest of the world, we have concluded that an event that brings together people from many different places is not a very good idea right now. Because of this, we have decided to postpone T-DOSE a second time.
We are now looking at dates in April/May 2021. We hope very much that conditions will have improved by then to such an extent that letting T-DOSE take place is possible in a safe and healthy way.
It is with great regret that we have to announce that T-DOSE 2020 cannot take place on the planned dates. While as of yet the measures taken with regard to the Corona virus extend only until April 6th, it seems unlikely that everything will go back to normal at that time. Because of this, we have made the decision to postpone the event.
The good news is that we have been able to secure a new date at our venue. T-DOSE 2020 will now take place on October 24th and 25th of this year. The Call for Papers and Projects has been extended until September 15th.
We hope to see you all this autumn!
We are monitoring the developments of the Corona virus (COVID-19) and the proposed mitigations. We will adhere to the recommendations of the National Dutch Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). Today, the Dutch government advised the nation-wide cancellation of events with over one hundred participants. However, there is currently no advice beyond 1 April 2020.
We continue to prepare for the T-DOSE 2020 conference, and hope that the event can proceed as planned. The organising team is working hard to arrange everything. We are still looking for additional speakers and open source projects. Please fill in the the submission form if you wish to give a presentation.
Later this month, we will give an extra update on the developments regarding COVID-19 and the consequences for T-DOSE 2020.
T-DOSE is a free and yearly event held in The Netherlands to promote use and development of Open Source Software. During this event Open Source projects, developers and visitors can exchange ideas and knowledge. It is held at Hofdael in Geldrop on April 25th and 26th.
Speakers can submit ideas and abstracts using the submission form. An abstract should be accompanied by a (short) biography of the speaker. All talks will be held in English (preferred) or Dutch and last about ~50 minutes (with 5-10 minutes left to change tracks).
The deadline for abstracts ends on April 1st, 2020.
Update: The deadline has been changed to 15 September 2020.
During the event, there will also be stands availabe to present your project. These stands are free of charge, however, space must be reserved through this form. The amount of space available is limited, therefore, applications for stands are handled in order of submission.
We hope to see you all at this year's T-DOSE!
We're excited to announce that the 2020 edition of T-DOSE will be a two-day event again! It will take place on the
25th and 26th of April at Hofdael in Geldrop.
Update: The event has been re-scheduled to 24 and 25 October 2020.
We think Hofdael is a great new venue for T-DOSE. Hofdael is located in the center of Geldrop, a town near Eindhoven. It is less than a 15 minute walk from the railway station. There is also plenty of parking space in the area.
We hope to see you all there!
It's been quiet around T-DOSE, but behind the screens, we've been busy!
T-DOSE 2020 will once again happen in Spring. We are close to finalizing our date, and will announce the exact date very soon. But that's not all...
We're excited to share that we have found a great new location for T-DOSE! This, too, will be announced within the next month.
Watch this space, more information coming soon!
Welcome on the new T-DOSE website. For now there is not much information here yet. We will be moving content from the old site to this environment soon. Of course, information about the upcoming event(s) will be added as well. >> Watch this space <<
